JJ works exclusively with senior leaders, senior managers and high potential employees within organizations. He has a first class honours degree in engineering from the University of Limerick, a Masters in Computer Systems, a B.SC. Degree in Psychotherapy from Middlesex University and an ICF accredited Diploma in Executive Coaching,
JJ’s engineering background has proven useful in his work with senior leaders as it supports his clients, through various structured problem techniques, to get absolute clarity on their desires outcomes and current challenges and perceived obstacles. His qualifications in Psychotherapy and Coaching help to create a relationship with his client that is safe, non judgemental and based on mutual respect. In such environments, his clients experience significant progress and change. He believes in the theory that people have significant untapped potential and to increase their contribution and performance in their workplace, the barriers preventing the full expression of their potential need to be identified and removed. Through identification and elimination of such barriers, the leaders can reach a level of performance in the workplace never previously experienced.
As a staff member of University College Cork, JJ delivers the module entitled ‘Creating Highly Effective Relationships within Organizations’ which is part of the Higher Diploma in Relationships Studies (Level 8) program. As a member of the Coaching Development UK team, he has also mentored trainee coaches both in the UK and Ireland.
